Nobody should be learning their notes for the first time at rehearsal.

Quartal turns the sheet music, music charts, audio recordings, and videos into one shared rehearsal document, giving every singer and instrumentalist what they need to learn their part.

Problem

You sent the music. So why are you still teaching it at rehearsal?

You know the routine. You send the music ahead of time. Everyone says they have it.

Then rehearsal starts and you find out what that actually means.

A singer listened, but still isn't sure about their notes. The bassist caught most of the line, but not all of it. The keyboardist learned what they could, but still had to piece it together from the recording. Everyone has the same music, but each person had to figure it out on their own.

But hey, that's the gap right?

Quartal gives the whole team one shared place to work from, with the music translated perfectly for each role before rehearsal even starts.

How it works

Any music in. One Quartal Song out.

Bring what you already have.

Start with whatever your team is already using:

  • Sheet music or music charts as PDFs
  • Photos of sheet music or music charts
  • MusicXML
  • Audio recordings
  • Videos

01

Everyone gets what they need.

Quartal turns each song into one shared rehearsal document.

  • Singers can hear and follow their vocal notes.
  • Bassists can follow the line on a fretboard or in bass tab.
  • Keyboardists can follow the score and see the notes on a piano.

02

Practice before the group meets.

Instead of waiting for rehearsal, each person can come in already knowing exactly what to do.

  • Play the music
  • Slow it down
  • Transpose it
  • Hear your part against the rest of the arrangement

03

Product

Everything you need to learn your part for this performance.

Your singers and instrumentalists are learning the same music, but they don't all learn it the same way. Quartal gives each person a practice view that makes sense for their role.

Vocals

Hear and follow your part.

  • Follow Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass notes while the music plays
  • Hear your vocal line against the rest of the arrangement
  • Use Nashville numbers or solfa if that's how you learn best

Bass

Hear the line. See where to play it.

  • Follow the bass line on the fretboard or in bass tab
  • See suggested fingerings
  • Hear the part
  • Practice it against the rest of the music

Piano

See the music on the keys.

  • Follow the score while the notes move across an 88-key piano
  • Read the sheet
  • Slow the music down
  • Transpose the playback
  • See the notes instead of trying to pull everything out of a recording

FAQ

Who is Quartal for?

Quartal is for choirs, bands, and music teams preparing for a real rehearsal or performance.

Directors and music leaders use it to keep the team working from the same music. Singers and instrumentalists use it to learn their individual parts.

That can be a worship team, community choir, school or college ensemble, music ministry, or another group that needs to learn music together.

What can I upload?

Start with whatever you already have.

That can be sheet music or music charts as PDFs or photos, MusicXML, audio recordings, or videos.

You can bring in one song or the full set your group is preparing.

Do I need sheet music?

No.

If you have sheet music, great. Use it.

But plenty of groups learn from recordings and videos too. Quartal is built so the source you happen to have doesn't decide how useful it can be for everyone else.

Does everyone see the same thing?

No. That's part of the point.

A singer may need to hear and follow their vocal notes. A bassist may need the fretboard or bass tab. A keyboardist may want the score and piano.

They're learning from the same underlying music, but Quartal can show that music in the way that makes the most sense for each person.

Is Quartal a sheet music app?

No.

Sheet music is one way to get music into Quartal and one way to view it once it's there.

Quartal is rehearsal software. The goal is to help the people performing the music understand and practice their parts before the group meets.

Does Quartal replace rehearsal?

No. We want you to get more out of rehearsal.

Some things only make sense when everyone is in the room. Blend. Timing. Dynamics. Transitions. Feel. Actually playing together.

Learning your individual notes for the first time doesn't have to be one of them.

What does the pilot cost?

Nothing.

The pilot is $0. Bring your music, invite your team, and use Quartal for a real rehearsal or performance.

We'll announce Standard pricing after the pilot.

Got music to rehearse?
