Who is Quartal for?
Quartal is for choirs, bands, and music teams preparing for a real rehearsal or performance.

Do I need sheet music?
No.
If you have sheet music, great. Use it.
But plenty of groups learn from recordings and videos too. Quartal is built so the source you happen to have doesn't decide how useful it can be for everyone else.
Does everyone see the same thing?
No. That's part of the point.
A singer may need to hear and follow their vocal notes. A bassist may need the fretboard or bass tab. A keyboardist may want the score and piano.
They're learning from the same underlying music, but Quartal can show that music in the way that makes the most sense for each person.
Is Quartal a sheet music app?

Sheet music is one way to get music into Quartal and one way to view it once it's there.
